New York Atlantic Funeral Services is founded on the integrity and compassion of funeral service past, present and future.
Today, as funeral service has stepped away from the "Traditional" concept of the funeral to a more ceremonial, celebration of life. We have embrace the change and stand ready to serve in the capacity that every family deserves.
OUR BEGINNINGS
New York Atlantic Funeral Services was established in July of 2007 from an acquisition with Neptune Society. New York Atlantic's CEO and Licensed Manager Dorothy Pacimeo-Comodore was the previous manager of Neptune Society's New York Chapter until the acquisition in July 2007. The business was handed over to her associates Frank Cammarata, Kenneth Lysak and Philip Taglia in November 2020. Frank, Ken and Phil have been with NY Atlantic since it was owned and operated by the Neptune Society.
OUR FOUNDER
Dorothy C. Pacimeo-Comodore. CEO of New York Atlantic Funeral Services and co-owner of a funeral home on Long Island. She is a long standing member of Nassau-Suffolk Funeral Directors Association and the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. In 2012 she received recognition as Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP) from the Academy and currently CFSP for 2019. She has been a funeral director since 1976 and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Dowling College in Oakdale.
Dorothy served on the Nassau-Suffolk FDA Board of Directors and a past participant of Women in Funeral Service.
She received citations for her participation in the TWA Flight-800 crash over Long Island and the September 11 terrorist attack at the World Trade Center.
As new owners; Frank, Ken and Phil will continue to operate the business with the same attention to detail and compassion that the families have grown accustomed to.
